Right next to the carousel...small but really fun museum. Great for little kids too!
Hike/Bike The South Hills Trail System Mt. Ascension and Mt. Helena
(Our favorite trails: 1906 on Mt. Helena and 2006 on Mt. Ascension. But just go explore!)
Helena's Last Chance Tour Train
Really fun way to see and learn about the history of Helena. Great for families!
Great local art museum in the heart of downtown.
The Montana Historical Society Museum is closed for construction, but this is a nice little museum and tour!
Just on the outskirts of town. Paddleboard, kayak, or just swim! They do have life jackets available for kiddos. Please make sure you use them! FYI: No dogs allowed in the summer months.
Close to Spring Meadow State Park. Great little exhibit to learn about Montana Wildlife
Gates of the Mountains Boat Tours
Plan on a good chunk of the day for this, but totally worth it, if you want to see more of the Missouri River.
Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park
Another day trip, but so fun! if you are up for splunking! Read the tour descriptions carefully!
Blackfoot Pathways: Sculpture in the Wild International Sculpture Park
One of our favorite afternoon trips. Pack a lunch, enjoy the drive to Lincoln, and take in this breathtaking sculpture park. No words. Just go see it!
